SS Walther PP/PPK Identification & Documents
I first published the definitive work on the subject in 2010 and it quickly sold out. It was the first and only book that described in detail how to identify SS Issued PP/PPKs, what to look for, serial number ranges in which each variation may be found and color photographs of each PPK variation. There were sections on how to identify counterfeits and hundreds of photographs of index cards found in the National Archives and a serial number list of more than one thousand PP and PPKs known to exist. The book sold out in eighteen months and has been out of print for some time.
Now the sequel to that book is available and contains everything that was included in the first edition and a great deal more. I discovered a new and extremely rare variation in 2012 and I've included it in this new edition. There are only five of this variation known to exist at the present time and details on how to identify it with photographs is in this new book.
In addition, I've included my entire database in this new edition including for the first time serial numbers of all known SS issued PP/PPKs to include those for which archival documents were found and included in the first edition, all those known to exist in the hands of collectors and those for which “orphan” magazines still exist but for which the guns have not yet been located. Now the sequel to that book is available and contains everything that was included in the first edition and a great deal more. This database alone makes the price of the book insignificant if you are a collector of SS issued guns or wish to become one. The database contains nearly two thousand confirmed serial numbers, a total of twenty six pages of confirmed serial numbers in all.
The book also contains a breakdown of serial numbers by variation to help collectors determine the relative rarity of their guns.
Every section which was included in the first edition has been expanded and a number of photographs of the original Walther Factory are included at the back.
The book includes extensive Forewords written by two of the world's foremost authorities on Walther PP/PPKs...John P. Pearson and Dieter H. Marschall.

DeleteDo you have any books left? I would be interested in purchasing one of your SS Walther PP/PPK Identification & Documents. I recently purchased a Walther PPK and from what I can gather online, it seems to be a late war RHSA from its markings. Serial number 426,XXX K.
